Less Than Three Weeks Until We're in Our New Home!
Michael here with another update on our big move to Skegby!
We're now less than three weeks away from closing the doors at Queen Street for the last time on June 30th. The excitement is building, and I wanted to share what's been happening behind the scenes.
Current Address (until June 30th): 18 Queen St, Mansfield NG18 1JN, UK
New Address (from July 1st): Unit 3, Legion Dr, Skegby, Sutton-in-Ashfield NG17 3EN, UK
Progress Report
Emma's been busy coordinating the logistics (she's scary good at organising things). We've got our new workshop area almost ready, which means we can prep cabinet work more efficiently. The storage areas are being set up so we can keep more Symphony materials on hand.
Andy came by the new place yesterday to check out the electrical setup. His exact words were "This is going to make everything so much easier." Coming from someone who never complains about anything, that's high praise.
The Parking Situation Gets Solved
Here's something that's going to make a huge difference - our new location has a massive free parking lot!
No more circling Queen Street looking for a space. No more feeding parking meters during consultations. No more worrying about your car while we're discussing your dream kitchen.
This has been a real pain point for customers. I can't count how many times someone's rushed through a consultation because their parking was about to expire. That's not how kitchen planning should work.
What This Means for Your Visit
When you come for a consultation at Legion Drive, you can:
- Park right outside our door
- Take your time looking at samples and discussing options
- Not stress about parking tickets while we measure your space
- Actually relax during the design process
Emma's already planning how this changes our consultation approach. We can spend proper time going through all the Symphony collections without anyone watching the clock.
Current Projects Continue
We're still completing kitchen installations throughout the transition. If you're one of our current customers, your project timeline hasn't changed. Jono's still working his magic on installations, and Nick's still making sure every gas connection meets his strict standards.
The beauty of being a small operation is we can adapt quickly. Most of our work happens in your home anyway, so the showroom move doesn't affect ongoing projects.
Looking Forward
The new space gives us room to display more of the Symphony range properly. We'll have better lighting to show off different finishes. More space means we can set up mock kitchen corners so you can really see how everything works together.
Cooper's been supervising the packing process. He's particularly interested in making sure his treat supply gets transferred safely.
